In each week-long day camp riders have the opportunity to improve their riding and horsemanship skills through formal and fun activities.

MORNING: Though the schedule for each day varies, campers generally spend the morning riding and doing activities around the barn to learn about horses and horse care. Campers are split into smaller groups to maximize attention and coaching from instructors.

LUNCH: We break for lunch around 12:00- 1:00. Campers have time for eating and some free play activities. We have a variety of fun locations to have lunch including our courtyard lawns and creek.

AFTERNOON: Afternoon actives vary each day. Activities include horsemanship and horse care instruction and introduction to horse-shoer and veterinary care. We also do structured arts and crafts activities and free play time. Other highlights include spending time playing at the creek or decorating the horses with paint!

Our facility is spacious with adequate room for social distancing and the vast majority of camp time will be spent outdoors or in barns with open air flow.

Commencing in the Kindergarten Village, both the 4-year-old and 5-year-old groups will embark on journeys to the Farm and Permaculture Garden to visit with the animals, pick berries, gather eggs and harvest vegetables. They gain a reverence for the natural world and learn about caring for animals and the earth.

The children will also do crafts, sing, play games, hear stories, and enjoy much outdoor play time! Under the guidance of Ms. Arika with the 4-year-olds and Ms. Erin for the 5-year-olds, and with the support of two cherished assistant teachers.

The start of each day involves circle time on hay bales, setting the tone for farm chores ahead. From gathering eggs to planting in the garden, drying herbs, picking berries, and harvesting vegetables, the activities unfold. Children actively participate, assisting farmers in field work and contributing to the preparation of delicious organic snacks in the outdoor kitchen. Crafting and games are in the afternoon and their day ends with lunch and a story.
