About Santa Rosa Mothers' Club

SRMC was founded in 1991 by a group of Santa Rosa moms. We are a volunteer-run organization who work hard to support each other.

In September 1991, six women attended a workshop about Mothers' clubs and decided to form our Club. From those founding moms grew a club that now serves over 250 families. The Club was based on a format outlined by author Katie Hoepke in her book, Mothers' Club: Nurturing the Nurturers.

The first meeting began in a small room at the old CPI office on Yulupa Ave. The Club quickly outgrew the space and moved to the First United Methodist Church, then to St. Rose Parish. In February of 1999, we moved to the Finley Center, which turned out to be the best fit.

Since that first meeting in 1991, the Board has brought a multitude of features to the membership, including playgroups, a monthly newsletter, monthly events featuring well-respected speakers, meals for moms, a website, social and fundraising events, membership-based discounts from local retailers, and an online community for parenting advice and support.
